We did it! Once again, Rural Mutual Insurance has been recognized as a “Best Place to Work” by Madison Magazine for the ninth time!
Madison Magazine opened nominations for this recognition in late 2024. During this time, one of Rural Mutual’s employees voluntarily nominated the company to take part in the 2025 survey.
Once nominated, Madison Magazine sends survey questions to company employees to get a sense of workplace culture and morale. Survey questions focus on benefits, satisfaction and opportunities, management, co-workers, and trust. Responses echo a guiding principle of Rural Mutual’s Executive VP & CEO.

Based on the survey results, the names of the top 20 businesses are published in the February 2025 issue of Madison Magazine, across three size categories:
- Small (10-50 employees)
- Medium (51-100 employees)
- Large (101+ employees)
With more than 200 employees, Rural Mutual earned a top 5 distinction in the large category.
