In Wisconsin, we’re lucky to experience 4 seasons of fun. From polar vortex temperatures to 100 degree summer days and everything in between, not many other states have what we do. Although we maybe wish winter didn’t last 6 months, Wisconsinites embrace the weather and outdoor lifestyle.
Spring
As the winter snow melts, the birds singing in the cool mornings and tulips blooming are a sure sign welcoming spring. You can’t help but be happy when we start to see grass again! In Wisconsin, spring break sometimes means a get-away to a warm place, but there are great vacation spots right here in Wisconsin for the kids.
Summer
We wait all year for the perfect summer day spent at the lake, grilling out and ending the day next to a campfire with a s’more. The golf course is another great way to catch some sun. Wisconsin is home to several amazing golf courses. Whether you’re an experienced golfer or just getting the feel for your swing, there are a range of courses for everyone. If you’re looking for something more active, you don’t have to look hard and you’ll find an abundance of adventures including kayaking, hiking, bike trails and ATV trails.
Fall
Fall is one of the most beautiful seasons as the leaves are changing colors to red, orange and yellows – perfect for a fall hike with a view. Enjoy the colors during a visit to the pumpkin patch or apple orchard. Grab a caramel apple or apple cider and get lost in a corn maze. Thanks to our farmers, Wisconsin has amazing corn mazes!
Winter
Although Wisconsin winters can get long, you can’t beat the beauty of fresh snow and the abundance of winter activities can keep you busy outside. Don’t forget to pack your hot chocolate! Head up north if you’re looking for even more snow and explore the endless miles of cross-country ski trails, snowmobile trails or ice fishing lakes. If you have a need for speed, dust off your skis or snowboard and hit the slopes! We’re fortunate to have some great hills here in Wisconsin all around the state for an easy day trip or a getaway weekend.
