Community Involvement
Wisconsin Strong is supporting the community.
Anyone can do business in a community. It’s what you give back that counts.
Both corporately and individually, Rural Mutual employees make Wisconsin a better place to live. From our home office in Madison and locations throughout Wisconsin, we’re involved with:
United Way
Home office employee and corporate contributions
Every year Rural Mutual insurance launches a United Way campaign to support our local community.
Besides personal and corporate donations, we raise money with employee food events sponsored by local restaurant, craft and book fairs, Bucky Book sales and more.

WIAA Athletics
Sportsmanship Matters
We believe there’s something more important than just winning or losing a tournament. We believe that the team, school and fans who support their athletes with dignity and class are the true champions. That’s why we’ve proudly sponsored the WIAA/Rural Sportsmanship Award for more than 50 years.
Rural Mutual has been involved with the WIAA State Boys and Girls Basketball Tournaments as a sponsor of game telecasts. Our sponsorship has expanded to also include statewide football, and hockey tournament telecasts.
Youth Ag Involvement
We support our current and future farm leaders
Farm Bureau
Rural Mutual is a major sponsor of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation’s Young Farmer and Agriculturist program, Farm Bureau Leadership Institute, and Farm Bureau Foundation to support agricultural leadership and education programs.
4-H
Rural Mutual is a Silver Clover ($5,000 annual support) program sponsor of the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation and a winning bidder in the annual Meat Products Auction at the Wisconsin State Fair.
FFA
Rural Mutual also works with future rural leaders as a sponsor of the Wisconsin FFA Convention, the FFA Farm Forum and FFA Chapter Leadership Proficiency awards.
