Rural Mutual Insurance Company is thrilled to be named to Madison Magazine’s 2016 list of Madison’s Best Places to Work. The only way to be named to this list is by a vote of confidence from its employees in the form of an anonymous survey. This is the second year in a row that we received this award!
Survey results revealed many things that set Rural Mutual apart in the minds and hearts of its employees:
“Peter Pelizza, executive vice president and CEO, says his company places an emphasis on addressing the needs of its employees and the community. As a result of feedback from its employees, for example, Rural instituted summer hours on Fridays to allow its staff more weekend time. “It would be a huge mistake if we weren’t always looking to change and keep growing,” says Pelizza.”
About the list
The Best Places to Work survey was done by an independent third party, Quantum Workplace, utilizing ten key factors: team effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling value, manager effectiveness, compensation, benefits, individual contribution, trust in co-workers, job satisfaction, and retention.
Once data collection was complete, Quantum conducted a rigorous security audit to verify all surveys. The results were compiled and analyzed to determine which organizations have the highest levels of employee engagement. The twenty-six businesses profiled in the Madison Magazine story ranked the highest in these categories.
